Research and Training

At LaserVue, we believe an important component of our purpose is to advance the science of vision correction. As such, we have been investigators in studies including several FDA trials of Alcon’s CustomCornea program. This was the first laser technology to utilize wavefront measurement to optimize LASIK results. We continue to be involved in studies that help improve outcomes not just for our patients, but for all potential candidates for these procedures.

We firmly believe in education and have both Optometric Interns and Residents in our practice. Our interns are students in Optometry School and are with us for an average of three months. We invite the best of these to return and spend a year with us after graduation. Our Residents are licensed doctors. They are given increasing experience and responsibility in a supervised fashion in the diagnosis and treatment of all refractive errors as well as cataracts and other medical problems.
